Many people may be done with PlayStation Home, but for those who aren’t, Sony will be bringing a major update to the service next Thursday, November 11. The version 1.4 update will bring with it a variety of features and changes that will be fully outlined sometime next week, but for now, Sony has announced at least one much-requested feature: grouping and voice chat since it was in beta.
You’ll now be able to group up with up to eight other users in Home, with your group having its own dedicated voice and text chat channels. You’ll be able to talk to up to seven others no matter where anyone is located in Home. New text and voice chat channels will also be added for clubs.
The other significant feature announced today for 1.4 is better management of your wardrobe. You’ll now be able to store items you don’t find yourself using much but want to save for the future. Additionally, items can be marked as a favorite so that they’re quicker and easier to access, new items will be sorted together, and new sorting and filtering options will be available.
