After more than a month of voting by nearly 13 million people, Madden fans have decided the cover athlete for Madden NFL 12 will be Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis.
Hillis faced stiff competition throughout the process; besides defeating Vick in the final round, he also received 61% of the vote when he went up against reigning Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers, quarterback of the Green Bay Packers.
The NFL’s lockout situation remains up in the air. This year’s Madden will be released on August 30 regardless of whether a new CBA can be agreed to — though EA Sports is certainly hoping it gets resolved.
