Despite a consistent, industry-wide decline in sales and revenue versus last year, the overall quality of videogames released so far in 2010 is significantly better, according to one study.
According to ranking site MetaCritic’s midyear report, the average review score in 2010 is higher across every platform than it was in 2009. Additionally, three titles released in the first half of 2010 scored higher than the best-reviewed game of the same period in 2009 (Street Fighter IV).
