It’s a pretty steep drop from top dog to second fiddle in NPD’s May tally, apparently. According to a report from Gamasutra, Diablo 3 managed to sell one million physical copies at US retail – a fraction of the 3.5 million in physical and digital sales earned in the first 24 hours.
Coming in second and third in May respectively, Max Payne 3 and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier each sold just over 400,000 units.
