Despite the impressive fan efforts to get them brought to North America, Nintendo of America continues to say it doesn’t plan to release Pandora’s Tower, The Last Story, and Xenoblade Chronicles over here. It’s still hardly what members of Operation Rainfall are looking for, but NoA president Reggie Fils-Aime did have a somewhat positive comment on the situation, at least compared with what we’ve been told in the past.
“We will be watching very closely what happens in Europe,” Fils-Aime told IGN. “Certainly if there are business opportunities and positive consumer uptake from some of those titles, that will be great data for us to consider as we look at what to do with these titles.”
It’s not a resounding “yes they’re coming,” but, as I said, it’s more promising than Nintendo’s comment in June, when it stated, “Thanks for being such incredible fans! Unfortunately, there continues to be no plans for NOA to release these 3 games right now.”
