PSP Go

Sony has just posted word on the v6.39 firmware update for the PlayStation Portable. It’s a relatively minor update, not offering up any significant new features.

Besides improving stability when using certain unspecified features, users who need to change their PlayStation Network password will be guided through that process. Password changes were mandated when Sony brought PSN back online on May 14. The web-based password reset page for PSN and Qriocity was temporarily taken down last week in response to the discovery of a URL exploit.

The PlayStation Store is still offline, something that is impacting PSP Go owners more than anyone else, as the Go’s only source of content is what’s distributed through PSN — imagine if you bought a Go since the PSN outage began. The Store is rumored to be coming back tomorrow, although Sony has yet to confirm whether or not that’s the case.
