netflix_android_profile_screen

After lagging behind other platforms that have had support for profiles since the feature was introduced by Netflix earlier this year, the Netflix for Android app is finally getting an update that includes this feature. The updated version was posted to Google Play yesterday and should start showing up on user’s devices to be updated. The new version also includes an enhanced search function with support for people and related titles along with some bug fixes.

The profile feature makes things easier for users where several people may be sharing one Netflix account. Instead of seeing watch histories and what to watch lists from everyone, using a profile means the app will just display those items connected to that profile. When first started after the update, Netflix will ask the user which profile to use. An option to change the profile is included in the left slide-out menu.

If you haven’t been prompted for the update yet or want to give Netflix a try on your Android device, use one of the links below to access the Google Play store.
