Yahoo Japan recently announced the results of its 2010 survey ranking all entertainment media and Mario ended up scoring the top spot on both the Games and Game Characters charts.
Nominees for the survey were selected based on an assortment of criteria according to Inside Games, including number of web searches, activity in the Yahoo Games portal, and the number of news articles posted pertaining to any given title between November 1st, 2009 and October 31st of this year.
