DALLAS — July 31, 2023 — Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition, the definitive release of the cult classic FPS by original developer and publisher Apogee Entertainment, the maniacal minds at New Blood Interactive, and the gaming treasure hunters at Nightdive Studios, launches on Steam for PC and GOG today. Ludicrous Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility later this year.
Thanks to Nightdive Studios’ proprietary KEX engine, players can hop into a time machine and experience the genre-defining ‘90s masterpiece that started an FPS revolution, built straight from the original source code. Enjoy a blast to the past with loads of new features like visuals upscaled to 4K, 60+ frames gameplay, ultrawide resolution support, controller support, increased FOV, cloud saves, and music and sound options from every ROTT era, from the original to the 2013 remake.

Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition is available now on Steam and GOG for $19.99 USD and releases on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One along with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility later this year.
