Following the Halo 5: Guardians main menu music leak in August, the game’s full title song has now emerged ahead of sci-fi shooter’s release later this month. Halo Memes got its hands on the song, “Halo Canticles,” which you can hear in the video below. It sounds very much like a Halo track, beginning with the classic monk-style chant, before filling out with a more orchestral, heavier sound. I like it.
The bulk of Halo 5’s soundtrack, including this song, was composed by veteran composer Kazuma Jinnouchi, who previously worked on Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Halo 5 launches on October 27 exclusively for Xbox One. The full, 39-song soundtrack is scheduled to debut on October 30 on physical discs and through digital distribution stores.
In other recent Halo 5 news, the Seattle Sounders MLS team will wear Halo-branded jerseys in their matchup against LA Galaxy on Sunday. We also played Halo 5’s new 24-player Warzone mode and were quite impressed. In addition, Microsoft has confirmed that work has begun on Halo 6.
What do you make of the title track? Let us know in the comments below.
