It appears that EA is making sure it’s Q1 RPGs play nice together. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (KOA:R), lauching February 7, 2012, offers three Mass Effect 3 (ME3) bonuses, two of which come from the demo releasing on January 17, 2012. Players will receive an exclusive Todd McFarlane designed armor for ME3 just for installing the demo, and a Chakram launcher also for use in ME3, for completing it. If you’d rather just buy the game and redeem its online pass, you will receive N7-inspired armor for Shephard in ME3.
Bioware returns the favor to 38 studios (the developer behind KOA:R) by offering free omniblade daggers to those who play the demo for Mass Effect 3, to use in KOA:R. While the Mass Effect 3 demo has yet to be dated, I cannot wait for it as the Omniblade daggers look especially cool on dual-wielding rogue-types. Mass Effect 3 releases on March 6, 2012 in North America.
For more information on the cross-promotion between KOA:R and ME3, see the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning official website here.
