A little more than ten days after launch, Microsoft’s Kinect has sold one million units.
The peripheral arrived at the million units milestone a week ahead of Black Friday, and is expected to sell 5 million units by the end of the year, Microsoft announced today. The projections were raised from 3 million before the Kinect’s launch.
Microsoft budgeted $500 million for Kinect marketing, and the device began making appearances on outlets like Oprah late last month. The Kinect launched November 4, and will be out in Europe later this week.
