Dr. Kawashima is back…well, sort of. Nintendo’s Brain Training series is making the jump to Xbox 360 and Kinect. Announced yesterday at Microsoft’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press briefing, Bandai Namco’s “New Brain Training You Answer With Your Body” stars the formerly DS bound Tohoku University professor and is billed as the Kinect killer app for Japan. We assume the game will have a snappier name if it ever gets released outside of Japan.
The game challenges players to engage in brain training mini-games just like Dr. Kawashima’s previous outings. Only this time, players will have to use their bodies and display some level of physical coordination in order to prove they have the brain of a twenty something and not a AARP member.
Microsoft showed off five mini-games at the conference. The first challenged players to use their hands like those of a clock. The game would display a time and players would have to use one hand to point out the hour and the other as a minute hand and point to the right time. The second challenged players to poke and pop balloons in numerical order.
