Another massive year as Golden Joystick Awards amasses one million votes from gamers
11th October 2010 – An incredible one million votes have been already cast in the
28th Annual Golden Joystick Awards, organisers Future announced today.
With just over two weeks left for the public to choose this year's winners, the
excitement is really hotting up for the ‘people's gaming awards’.
The acclaimed Golden Joystick Awards are the longest running gaming awards in the
world and have been the burgeoning entertainment genre’s ultimate accolade since
1982. Officially named as the ‘World’s Most Popular Video Game Awards’ by Guinness
World Records, the ‘Joysticks’ are now celebrating a record breaking 28th year.
“Once again gamers are demonstrating their extraordinary passion and are making
their opinions known. With voting coming from over 30 different nations, we are
convinced that we are celebrating a truly global gaming event and more importantly
