Unsurprisingly, this week’s hardware sales chart was drastically affected by the release of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, Capcom’s latest entry in the popular multiplayer action-RPG franchise — which just happened to sell 1,950,717 in its first week on store shelves. How exactly did these sales effect the console rankings? That’s easy: It increased the sales of the PSP Go by 200 units, because … um, it looks like a rectangular, yawning monster when you flip it open? And Monster Hunter has lots of monsters in it? Yeah, let’s go with that.
Oh, also, sales for the PSP increased increased by nearly 250,000 units. You know. No biggie.
