Tokyo Game Show isn’t the only trade show in Japan this week. The Japan Amusement Machinery Manufacturers Association Amusement Machine Show (JAMMA) was held this weekend in Makuhari Mess just outside of Tokyo. While not nearly as big as TGS, the show marks the start of a week-long video game media blitz in Japan.
Many of the games shown at the show were specialized machines developed for the domestic Japanese market. Medal games, wacky UFO catchers, and Lady Gaga photo booths took up the majority of the real estate at the show. However, there were more than a few video games that caught our eye. Read on below to find out what our favorites were, and don’t forget to check out our JAMMA photo gallery.
