After a two-week-long hiatus, reviews have returned to the pages of Famitsu magazine. Here’s a quick look at the more interesting releases due to hit shelves over there next week:
– Cubic Ninja (8/7/7/8, 30 points): AQ Interactive’s action game is more about looking silly than about basking in 3D glory, it’d seem. “The game places more emphasis on tilting the system than on 3D visuals,” one reviewer said, “but it’s smooth and lets the player do a lot without much effort. The ability to go to the foreground and background is particularly fresh and fun.”
“You have to move your body around all over the place to play this, which is kind of neat,” another added. “You might want people to watch you play, but doing the opposite is a fun experience. It’s a little hard, though, to discern the ups and downs of each stage. It would’ve been nice to have a manual camera mode to deal with this.” Another complaint: “The content is extremely simple and probably won’t appeal to everyone.”
