Another week of excellent iOS games. If you believe that we missed something that should be included, please do sound off in the comment section.
Gratuitous space battles
Fast-paced, chaotic, space warfare that swept the indie PC market last year is now on iPad. Strategic gameplay, customizable fleets, lots of explosions…enough said!
AstroWings: War has begins
This bullet-hell shoot ‘em up gets on my list simply due to its awful American translation. I mean, I love me some vertical-shooting, but “war has begins”…nothing beats that!
Burnout: Crash
That downloadable Burnout joint finds a home on the app store. If you’re like me and passed on it, now is a better time than ever to give it a shot.
DevilDark: The Fallen Kingdom
A loot-heavy, DeathSpank-ish, hack & slash RPG that looks like it fits right up my alley. Right up in there…with tons of loot! Mmmmm…
Max Payne
A faithful-port of Remedy’s classic bullet-time shooter, that works exceptionally well on iPad, is now but a app store click away. There’s no excuse to not have this game on your iOS device. NONE!
Freebie:
Big Win Hockey
Big Win Hockey takes the card-game shenanigans that EA has introduced into their sports franchises, and twists it together with a RPG-like management game that not so much entertains in gameplay, but rather brings all of its joy through watching your team sneak in a win. Games play out in toilet-visit length and are simulated, yet exciting.
