It’s one thing when movie directors get involved with videogame development, but actors? That’s a much different scenario, yet it’s one that has become a reality as the star of Indiana Jones and Star Wars, Harrison Ford, is involved with the development of a new Facebook game known as Ecotopia.
As the name suggests, it’s a game with an environmental-friendly message, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Collaborating with nonprofit group Conservation International, Ecotopia is being developed by Talkie, which was founded by USC Games Institute director Chris Swain.
“I’m excited to be involved with Ecotopia because I see it as a great way to engage millions of people in our fight to protect our planet by taking action online and in our daily lives,” said Ford, who is one of three vice chairmans of Conservation International. “As we work to address the most fundamental issues facing humanity, I think Ecotopia will help get people involved in a way that is fun, educational, and meaningful.”
