Hideo Kojima, creator of the popular Metal Gear series, is one of the most famous names in Japanese gaming. And as such, his name typically appears at the beginning of the credits, Hollywood-style. On Thursday night (Japan time) he remarked at length on Twitter on what it means to him when it says “A Hideo Kojima Game” on his products. The whole matter apparently began after Kojima finished reading the novel Walking Dead by Greg Rucka, the seventh novel in a series. Reflecting on it, he said the following:
“As far as writers are concerned, when they have a single, lengthy story told across a series, keeping things going is particularly difficult.”
