While everyone knows that Halo 4 is coming to the Xbox 360 this fall, no one knows when the release date is… until today. Leaked by YouTube username 016Player016, a video entitled ‘Halo 4: Cinematic Effects’ shows off what conceptually would look like part of the Spartan Augmentation Program. As a formula created to take humans from normal to abnormal levels, spartans are either created or subjects are killed depending on if the patient’s bodies accept it.

The fact of this all though is that the trailer is fake. Jim Reilly of Game Informer has gotten a comment from Microsoft and he tweeted about it: “This is actually a fake. We haven’t officially announced the release date yet but stay tuned.” I know this is a disappointment but why would Microsoft not announce Halo 4′s release date at E3? This is once again another point where those people who create fake news screwed up with business plans.

If this was released a few days before E3, it could have been feasible that it could have been a real trailer. Random question: are you guys excited for Halo 4 after 343 Industries took over the franchise? Let us know in the comments below and remember to check out the fake trailer if you are curious.
