In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 — GeekyGamerGirl87— plays Tokyo Dark Remembrance on Nintendo Switch for thedailygamepad.net.
Tokyo Dark Remembrance is the console version of the Point and Click Visual Novel Tokyo Dark that was released on PC 2017. Tokyo Dark takes you on a psychological thriller, as you Play as Detective Ayami Ito, whose partner has gone missing. However, to understand how Detective Ito reached where she has come to, you’ll have to go back to six months and relive the events that circled a girl in Kamakura and the darkness that resides in Japan.
From the moment I started the game, I was drawn into it. I am an avid fan of Visual Novels and nowadays visual novels are started to make the change from just the static images they used to become more immerse for their readers. I am a huge fan of psychological thriller movies and detective shows. So when we here at thedailygamepad.net were offered a free review copy of Tokyo Dark Remembrance; I was honored to cover it. I would like to take the time to thank Cherrymochi and Square Enix for providing us with a free review copy of the game.
As I said the game keeps you guessing and is quite interesting. From the first scene in which you see how scarred Detective Ito is from past events, and even as she goes into the sketchy parts of town. For respect of the game developers and it’s writers I will not give away too much of the story. You can really connect with the Detective and why she is looking for her partner, and how her worse nightmares come to reality. If you are really into psychological thrillers, and detectives stories and are a fan of visual novels, this is a great visual novel to add to your collection.
