The Super Monkey Ball franchise is a franchise that hits close to home for me. Especially since my son, who didn’t show any interest in video games seemed to latch onto this series. However, for me, I remember playing the game back on the Gamecube and remembered it being one of my favorite games to play. Therefore, when we here at dailygamepad.net —formerly thedailygamepad.com — were offered a free review copy of Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD for the Nintendo Switch, I was more than happy to go ahead and provide video game footage as well as a small review of the game. Before I go further into my review I would like to thank Sega for providing us with a free review copy of Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD is a port of the Nintendo Wii version of the game onto the Nintendo Switch. I will admit it has been quite some time since I last played Supper Monkey Ball, so I was excited to see what this version of the game had to offer. The game offers four modes which are as follows:

Game Mode
How it Can Be Played
Main Game
The Story Mode of the Game.

I had the liberated of playing the Main Game mode which I really enjoyed, the courses were both simple and challenging and got a little more challenging for me as I went on. I also manage to play a few of the Party Games, which were okay just I found the controllers to be a little difficult with the joy cons, perhaps with a wired/pro controller that issue would not have occurred.

However the game is still fun and a great game to add to your collection
especially if you get to hang out with buddies, and even if not it’s a great game to play along with the kids.

If you would like to play Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD for yourself you can pick it up on the consoles Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Live Marketplace for at for $39.99 USD. The game is supposed to be coming to PC in the Winter of 2019 and can be wishlisted on Steam and Humble Bundle.
