In these gameplay videos from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 Plays AI: The Somnium Files on Nintendo Switch as coverage for thedailygamepad.com.
This has five videos of gameplay as I wanted to leave the game at a cliffhanger for you all.
In AI: The Somnium Files you play as Kaname Date, a “detective” who is investigating a series of killings done by a possibly serial killer.
As to not ruin much of the visual novel. I am only giving a synopsis of what the story is about.
I can honestly say that when it comes to visual novels that Spike Chunsoft Co. has succeeded and gone up and beyond my expectations of what a visual novel should provide for its readers. Not only is the story well written and pulls you into it, but it has a lot of interaction elements into the novel, as well as the animations being very well. In fact, it allows for you to search scenes, questions others and even play around in Somnium as Aiba.
Honestly, I was hooked from the beginning of the game and never found to much of a dull moment. One of the things at first was a mispronunciation of Date name as I thought I heard it as Dante at one point and time. Other than the novel played very well on the switch and if you enjoy sci-fi, mysteries, or thrillers than this is a novel for you.
