Uber Entertainment, developer of Monday Night Combat, just announced the first free add-on pack for its popular Summer of Arcade release. Set to debut sometime next month, the “Spunky Cola Special” DLC for Monday Night Combat will add a pair of maps, a new mode, and tons of custom gameplay options to the team-based shooter.
The first big addition is the Spunky Cola Arena, a brand new single-lane map for the game’s Crossfire game type. Survivitol Arena, the other new level in this DLC, is a Blitz Mode map described by the developers as, “Small and deadly with two tiers of bot spawners.”
There’s also an updated Blitz Mode variant called Super Sudden Death Blitz, which is apparently designed specifically for the new Survivitol Arena. Uber didn’t go into too many specifics in its blog post about the DLC, but fans can likely expect Super Sudden Death Blitz to be a real pain just based on the name alone.
