Sega and Sports Interactive also announce Linux support for Football Manager 2014.
Football Manager 2013 is now the best-selling game in the series, developer Sports Interactive has announced.
“I am delighted to announce that #FM13 has just become the best selling game in the Football Manager series. Thank you so much for all your support,” said studio director Miles Jacobson on Twitter over the weekend.
Jacobson added that features and additions to Football Manager 2014 won’t be announced until much later in the year, and that the company has yet to set even a rough or estimated release date. He did add that Football Manager 2014 would be arriving on Linux, with one purchase being playable across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
Football Manager 2014 will officially support the Ubuntu 12.04 (LTS) version of Linux.
Football Manager 2013 was released in November 2012, and Sega said in May that that the game had notched up 940,000 sales. “A host of significant additions make this the most exhaustive, but also the most streamlined, Football Manager to date,” said GameSpot’s 8.0 review of the game.
