The collaborative Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid StarCraft II training facility in Seoul, South Korea has closed.
Team Liquid s Editor-In-Chief, Kwanghee Woo, announced late last night via Twitter that the Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid joint StarCraft II training facility in Seoul, South Korea was closed at the end of September. Woo went on to note that the house s administrators Sunghwan Hwanni Lee and Sungjin trOt Park were no longer with the Evil Geniuses organization.
The collaborative training facility s creation was announced on December 4th of last year in statement that also announced that the two team s were coming together to play in the Korean eSports Association s (KeSPA) $250,000 2012 – 2013 SK Planet Proleague. The joint Proleague effort would be the first instance in which non-Korean based teams had played in the league.
The Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid amalgamation, referred to as EGTL, would go 16 and 28 in the nine month season. They finished in last place.
The next season of Proleague is supposed to begin in November. An official list of the team s participating has not been released.
