EA Sports Active, a franchise that began last year on Wii, offered dozens of exercise routines, cardio workouts, and nutrition tips designed to push your body and help you tighten, tone and shed unwanted pounds. Given the success of the original, it was only natural for EA to create a sequel that wouldn’t just repackage the same old routines, but offer more workouts, more routines, and a more well-rounded workout.
But the first thing you’ll notice about EA Sports Active 2 is that it comes packed with a new tracking system that connects to both your arms and your right leg. This tracking system monitors your heart rate and how well you perform each of the routines during your workout. Essentially, it mimics what the Wii Remote and Nunchuck did in the original EA Sports Active, but with greater precision.
