DICE handling development of new Star Wars Battlefront.
EA has unveiled the first glimpse of a new Star Wars Battlefront game.
DICE is confirmed to be developing the game, with EA recently opening its DICE LA studio–filled with previous Danger Close staff–to handle development.
The Battlefront series spawned two games back in 2004 and 2005, with three more spin-offs later released on handheld and mobile. The series traditionally allowed for first- and third-person battles set in the Star Wars universe.
No platforms or release dates were mentioned, nor was any game footage shown. The game was announced with a brief CGI clip showing an AT-AT.
EA signed a multiyear deal with Disney at the start of May to make “core” Star Wars titles.
