According to MaximusHD ROM developer LlabTooFer, Android 4.4 KitKat’s first update is on the horizon. In a tweet posted yesterday, he says that the “HTC One GE [Google Edition] will get 4.4.1 (KOT49E) in near future...” It makes sense considering the Google Edition devices are second in line to receive updates; however, even the Moto X received KitKat before the Google Edition devices. It’s possible that the Nexus 5 and other Nexus devices receive Android 4.4.1 sometime over the next few weeks and this update would likely just be a bug fixer. We’ll keep you updated if we hear anything regarding this update.
