Sci-fi shooter Destiny will be getting a hard mode for the King’s Fall Raid on October 23, a week earlier than originally planned. Detailed on Bungie’s weekly Destiny update, the raid will launch at 10AM Pacific Time.

Bungie recommends that the raid be tackled by players with 300-320 Light, and the loot rewards in it will be between 310-320. In addition to detailing the new raid mode, Bungie also announced the postponement of the 3v3 Crucible event, Trials of Osiris. While details were sparse, the reasoning was that the development team needed extra time to investigate a bug which needed to be balanced–possibly the Hunter Shadow Shot glitch which was recently discovered.

An update will be rolling out “as soon as next week” to improve rewards for Nightfall. More specific details will be available in the patch notes. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, given that the studio previously acknowledged that Nightfall rewards were somewhat lacklustre.

Destiny recently received an update which introduced microtransactions to the game in the form of 18 different emotes players can buy using the new in-game currency, Silver. There is even an emote based on “the Carlton” dance made famous by ’90s TV show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The update also nerfed shotguns.
