DC Universe Online won’t be making the previously announced November 2 release date after all. Sony Online Entertainment just confirmed a delay for its superhero MMO, pushing the game into early 2011.
“SOE is dedicated to delivering the highest quality game experiences possible,” reads a statement from Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley. “As the game heads into external beta testing, this extra time will allow us to address community feedback in a meaningful way. When we get deeper into external beta, we’ll be able to share more information regarding the new launch date.”
On the plus side, fans may not have to wait until launch to play DC Universe Online. The developers also revealed that anyone who’s already registered for the beta will receive priority access as early as next week. In addition, those of us who preorder the game before November 15 should gain beta access by November 30.
