First and foremost, I want to sincerely thank the developers and publishers for providing me with a copy of Date Everything. It’s not every day you get the chance to dive into such a unique, offbeat game that blends humor, surrealism, and open-world dating mechanics in one unexpected package. This game definitely caught me off guard—in the best way possible.

Date Everything throws you headfirst into a world where the usual rules of dating don’t apply. Instead of swiping through a dating app or charming a few characters, you can actually engage with nearly anything in your environment. Yes, that includes your bed, a clock, and all sorts of inanimate objects. At first, it’s bizarre and a little bit hilarious, but the charm quickly grows on you. The writing is witty, the characters (animate or not) are full of personality, and the quirky dialogue keeps you coming back for more.

One of the standout moments early on was meeting “Timothy,” a well-dressed clock with feline ears and a very strict schedule to keep. His snobby attitude and obsession with punctuality were simultaneously hilarious and frustrating—I definitely found myself cringing at his over-the-top dedication to time. The dialogue between me and Timothy is a perfect example of the game’s quirky humor and willingness to take risks with its characters.

One thing I really appreciated is how open the gameplay feels. You’re not locked into a linear path or forced to interact with characters in any particular order. Instead, you’re free to explore your house and surroundings, talking to whoever or whatever you want at your own pace. This gives Date Everything a sandbox vibe that feels relaxing yet full of surprises.

The game also includes some neat features, like “content aware” mode, which lets players toggle potentially spicy or mature content on and off. This thoughtful addition shows the developers clearly had streamers and a wide audience in mind, helping ensure that anyone can enjoy the game comfortably—especially if they plan to share their experience live.

While I had a few technical hiccups—mostly with sound levels and controller connection—the gameplay remained smooth, and these issues didn’t detract significantly from the experience. The audio balance is something the developers might continue tweaking, but overall, the sound design complements the game’s atmosphere well.

As a streamer, I was particularly pleased with the content awareness features and the game’s allowance for Twitch streaming (with appropriate content toggles). This means that the game is accessible to a wide audience and doesn’t force you to worry about sudden content violations mid-stream.

In conclusion, Date Everything is a wonderfully weird and refreshing take on dating sims that breaks away from the usual tropes. Its surreal charm, creative character interactions, and open-world approach make it a memorable experience. If you’re someone who enjoys humor with a side of the bizarre, or just want to try something completely different, I highly recommend giving Date Everything a shot.

Again, a huge thank you to the developers and publishers for creating and sharing such an original title. I’m excited to continue exploring this strange world and uncover more of its secrets—and maybe even find a little love along the way.
