Well, that was fun while it lasted. The CyanogenMod Installer that debuted in the Play Store on November 12 has been pulled. It was a surprise that Google approved the app in the first place, since they’re now saying the app was pulled because it “encourages users to void their warranty.”
Google didn’t actually pull it themselves, but instead forced CyanogenMod to pull the app before Google would be forced to do it “administratively.” According to the company, demand existed, with “hundreds of thousands” of installations of the app, proving that “the need for an alternative Android experience exists.”
Despite it not being in the Play Store, you are still able to sideload the app through CyanogenMod.com.
