Crysis developer seeking programmer to work on Linux version of 3D game engine.
Crysis developer Crytek has posted a job listing (via Joystiq) calling for a programmer to work on bringing its CryEngine 3 to the Linux operating system.
“The CryEngine team is looking for a programmer to work on the Linux version of the 3D engine,” reads the job advertisement.
CryEngine 3 is the latest version of Crytek’s proprietary game engine. It has powered current-generation games like Crysis 3 and is also equipped for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Half-Life and Counter-Strike studio Valve recently brought Steam to Linux.
