The developers/publishers of the game gave the following game “Piczle Cross: Story of Seasons” to thedailygamepad.net free of charge. I On behalf of thedailygamepad.net, I would like to thank the publishers and developers for giving me a free copy of the game to play for this video and review.

Greetings to all farmers who have an affinity for pixels! A lovely harvest of brainteasers is available with the sprouting of Piczle Cross: Story of Seasons. This endearing game blends Piczle Cross’s captivating logic puzzles with the homey atmosphere of Story of Seasons. We’re talking hundreds of nonograms with your favorite need for a farmhand: cuddly lambs, watering cans, and (of course) a grumpy Bacchus. Your virtual farm grows as you solve these pixelated riddles. Observe the marvel of digital photosynthesis as animals materialize out of thin air and crops appear miraculously (no milking needed!).

But despite its charming pixel imagery, Piczle Cross: Story of Seasons is much than simply a nice image. It’s pure strategy gratification gameplay. Using the numbers on the grid, you’ll be able to decipher codes and fill in spaces to uncover hidden images. It’s similar to piecing together a hidden map to find hidden treasure, although in this case, the treasure is mental quickness and a smug feeling of achievement.

The true farmyard charm lies in Piczle Cross’s plethora of customizing possibilities. Do you prefer to work at your own pace without using a timer? Consider it done. Are you itching for a little challenge? Increase the level of difficulty. As you solve riddles, an in-game almanac featuring interesting trivia about the characters from Story of Seasons is created.

No review is complete without a bit of criticism. While the fundamental gameplay loop is enjoyable, some experienced puzzlers may like a little more variety. Piczle Cross’ difficulty curve is pretty gentle; therefore, it may not challenge hardened nonogram enthusiasts. However, for someone like myself who suffers from not only nanograms but also estimating what the visuals will be, the game presents a difficulty.

Overall, Piczle Cross: Story of Seasons is a delightful and intriguing puzzle game. It’s a beautiful combination of basic nonogram gameplay and the heart of Story of Seasons. The numerous riddles, graphic farm growth, and customization possibilities provide plenty of material for both casual and serious puzzlers. While it lacks a narrative, the Story of Seasons theme provides fascinating depth for fans, and the in-game almanac is a nice touch. If you’re searching for a relaxing yet tough puzzle game with a hint of farming charm, Piczle Cross: Story of Seasons is a great choice. If you want to play the game for yourself, you can get it on the Nintendo Switch and PC on Steam for a reasonable price of 9.99 USD.

Ready Sets Gaming is a variety streamer on Twitch with a love and passion for indie games. She has been gaming for 30+ years; and feels that a lot of indie games go back to the games that she grew up with and aren't afraid to think outside of the box to make a game. It is because of this thought process that she prefers to play a majority of indie titles, but still likes to play Triple-A titles and Retro games too. She enjoys searching through itch.io platform and looking for games that are stream friendly, and then playing them on stream to get them the exposure they may not be getting.
