About a week ago, Huawei unveiled the world’s thinnest smartphone, the Ascend P6. Not to be outdone, Chinese company Umeox has unveiled their latest device, the X5, that is somehow unbelievably thinner than the Ascend P6. The X5 is just 5.6mm thin, which is a full 0.5mm thinner than the Ascend. That half a millimeter doesn’t sound like much, but when you’re talking about over 10% of the device’s body, that’s pretty impressive.
The X5 is sporting a larger 5.3 inch screen of unknown resolution powered by a dual-core processor with an 8 megapixel rear camera and 3 megapixel front-facing camera. It’s running Android 4.2.2 out of the box and is slated for a release in France later this summer. Anybody else think these phones might be getting too thin?
