All you hand-drawn anime fighting-game lovers should be ecstatic to know that Aksys Games will release another entry in the Blazblue series. Blazblue CS EXTEND Limited Edition, will launch in the U.S. on February 14, 2012 in North America, and pre-orders can be reserved at Amazon (PS3, Xbox 360) and Gamestop at this time. Apparently, the PS Vita was left out of this year’s dose of Blazblue awesomeness.
The EXTEND Limited Edition will come with a 2012 Continuum x Calamity Calendar, a 40-page full-color book with event scenes, artist illustrations, and concept art of the newer characters. Rounding out the package is a 17-song soundtrack CD. This is a rather enticing deal for any turner of the Wheels of Fate.
While no clear gameplay changes to the EXTEND edition of Blazblue Continuum Shift has been outlined, the other bit of news allows us to safely assume it has undergone superior balancing to support tournament fighting. The Blazblue Revolution (BlueRevo) tournament, will be held in Los Angeles, California, February 25, 2012. The winners of this tournament will have airfare and hotel accommodations provided by Aksys games to the world tournament in Japan on March 24, 2012.
So, get your drive attacks crisp and study those frames per second. Maybe Bang will finally win the eye of Dr. Litchi on Valentine’s Day. Full press release below.

If you haven’t heard yet, the website for the BlazBlue Revolution (BlueRevo) has gone live last month.
BlazBlue Revolution, or BlueRevo for short, is the biggest open invitation BlazBlue team tournament in Japan. Participants from all over Japan are gathering their strongest allies and heading to their local qualifier sites for a chance to battle it out in the BlueRevo Finals. And now participants from North America have also been invited for a piece of the action!
Here in the United States, a single team of three will be chosen to participate in the prestigious BlueRevo Finals in Japan on March 24th, 2012. Aksys Games will provide full airfare and hotel accommodations to the selected players; all you need to do is prove that your team is the strongest in all of North America at the BlazBlue Revolution US Finals on Februrary 25th, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA.
