It was back in January that Verizon Wireless agreed to sell some of its precious spectrum to AT&T in deal reaching $1.9 billion. Today, the deal has finally been completed and according to AT&T in a press release, the second biggest carrier in the US plans to use the 700MHz spectrum from the lower band B block to help improve its LTE service for 42 million customers, spanning across 18 different states in the US.

The deal wasn’t completely one sided, mind you. Verizon will get a little added AWS boost as part of the deal, hitting markets like Los Angeles, Fresno, Phoenix, Albuquerque, and Portland.
