PadFone_Infinity_Updated_2013

While the PadFone Infinity is set to be released in the US sometime in the near future and the new PadFone mini was just announced last week, it seems there’s a new PadFone being released by ASUS soon as well. It’s called the PadFone X, and it was recently spotted in AnTuTu’s benchmark database.

The PadFone X is supposedly the successor to the PadFone 2 which was released last year, and there are a number of things that we can tell from its appearance in the database. First of all, it will be running Android 4.4 and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Not only that, it also has a 1200 x 1920 screen resolution, thought the size of the screen remains unknown. Other details include a rear-facing camera of at least 5MP, 2Gb of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory.

The device itself scored very high in the benchmark tests, but we still don’t know when it will be released. Will we see the PadFone X in the US? We certainly hope so!
