Assassin’s Creed IV to get a nine-mission chunk of single-player DLC which revolves around Adewale.
Ubisoft has announced its DLC lineup for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, alongside details of the game’s season pass.
Only the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC versions of the game will be able to purchase the game’s DLC. Ubisoft does not mention the Wii U.
The main chunk of content revolves around the nine-mission single-player storyline Freedom Cry. This is set fifteen years after the events of the main campaign, and casts players as Edward Kenway’s first mate Adewale, who’s now a fully trained assassin, but finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no crew or weapons.
The season pass will also provide the Kraken Ship Pack, which gives owners more customisation options for Kenway’s Jackdaw ship. This will not be available to purchase separately, Ubisoft adds.
Ubisoft also says additional DLC will provide players with more single-player missions, weapons, skins, and collectibles, alongside new characters for the game’s multiplayer modes.
All of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s DLC will be released before March 2014, with the season pass being available at launch. The cost of the season pass will be 20 percent less than buying the DLC individually, Ubisoft says. No exact price was given for the content.
Those who choose to preorder the Digital Deluxe version of the game through Ubisoft’s own Uplay store will be eligible for a 25 percent saving on the season pass, the publisher adds.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U on October 29. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions will follow in November.
