Sheep-laden nightmares, godly power-wielding, and a return trip to Kirkwall are on the agenda in this week’s releases.
This week’s titles will be taking a turn into the unique when compared to last week’s cowboys and post-apocalyptic settings. First up is the adventure game Catherine from Atlus, the team who made the Shin Megami Tensei Persona series. The game puts you in the role of Vincent who has to solve his women troubles in the day while escaping a nightmare-addled labyrinth in his sleep. GameSpot’s recent review stated that the title has a compelling and personal story, as well as devious and challenging puzzles.
The PS3 version of Catherine will be making headway into Asia this Tuesday, with the regular and Limited edition up for purchasing. Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 version of the adventure game will not be available in the region due to “coding issues” according to a representative at Softsource, the distributors of the game.
Up next is a “god game” called From Dust, the latest project from designer Eric Chahi (Another World, Heart of Darkness). The title pits players to either help or hinder indigenous tribes in a barren desert while manipulating the environment and fauna to further the game’s narrative and objective. The game will be out this Wednesday for both Xbox 360 and PC.
The first story-based DLC for Dragon Age II, subtitled Legacy, will be out for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. The expansion deals with Hawke’s family history further and includes new environments, new monsters, and improved AI. RPG fans can expect to see new content this Tuesday.
Capping off this week are ports of existing titles and content. The PS3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Annihilation pack, as well as the last episode of Back to the Future: The Game, will be up for download on PSN.
