Namco Bandai has finally announced that Armored Core V will be released in North America on March 20, 2012.
The new installment in the franchise will bring about a few new changes. One of those changes is the addition of the Operator Mode in online play. This mode will give one player a leadership role and will allow that player to supply his teammates with enemy positions, movements and details. The game will also focus on using tactics and the geography of the level to maximize the damage of your attacks. With these changes, Namco Bandai hopes to make the game more strategy based so that wins won’t always be about who has the fastest trigger finger.
They also confirmed that fans who pre-order the game from Gamestop will be given an extra bonus. They will gain access to the ‘Heavy Assault Pack’, while supplies last. This pack will provide them with additional weapons and parts that will give them an advantage when playing the online multilayer battles.
