The question has changed from “Where can I get Angry Birds?” to “Where *can’t* I get Angry Birds?” with this recent announcement from Gamespot. I know the majority of the gaming industry has burnt out on the mobile mogul, but the Angry Birds franchise has been one of the most successful mobile franchises. For those interested in the Facebook port of the “click, pull & release” gameplay that Angry Birds is famous for, you can finally play it now by clicking here.

The social version of the game will feature some all new power-ups which include Sling Scope, King Sling, Super Seeds & Birdquake. What those mean, I don’t know. The social features will include a friends high score board, plus you can give your friends items which will give them power-ups. Just to reinforce what I said before, Angry Birds has been downloaded over 500 million times. That means about one of every 14 people in the world have played Angry Birds.
