2010 may go down as the most profitable year in Activision’s history, according to CEO Bobby Kotick.

Speaking to the company’s investors in a conference call (as reported by Gamasutra), Activision Blizzard’s chief revealed that the publisher generated $745 million in revenue for the quarter ending September 30, beating its initial guidance of $600 million by a significant margin. Profits came in at $51 million, which was also above guidance, and is an increase from the $15 million in profits generated during the same period in 2009.
