The spiritual successor to the Clock Tower horror series formerly known as Project Scissors is now NightCry, Japanese developer Nude Maker has announced.

Nude Maker revealed the new name with the live action teaser you can watch above. The teaser was directed by Takashi Shimizu, who you might know from the Japanese horror film, Ju-on, and its American remake, The Grudge.

Shimizu will also work on the game with its director, Clock Tower creator Hifumi Kono, composer Nobuko Toda, and the Silent Hill art director responsible for the iconic Pyramid Head, Masahiro Ito.

NightCry is set on a luxurious cruise liner in the middle of the ocean, where a series of gruesome and mysterious murders begins to take place. When the ship is left stranded at sea, the player is tasked with solving the murder mystery to ensure their own survival.

Night Cry is coming to PS Vita, iOS, and Android. For more on the game, read GameSpot’s interview with Hifumi Kono.
