Covering every new character that comes along into Warframe now feels like a thing we must do. What every additional introduction is like a new ice cream flavor that most indefinitely is delicious. Nyx Prime is much like its core counterpart, with a few bonuses that are pretty awesome. Off the bat you are ether impressed, or shocked by her cosmetic overhaul. With a dome, or head that looks like a Xenomorph wanted to play ninja for a day.
Her stats are slightly altered, from her original fifteen points of armor you are now sitting on top of fifty. Other then her Chaos showing what felt like he same overall effect of abilities featured on the original Nyx, she sports an Vazarin polarity. My impressions of her were pretty solid, even more tank like then her original form. Her basic use overall in ODD, and various endgame activities is to distract enemies, bunch them up, then blow them up. All working seemingly more effective then before. What can I say is, she is usually always awesome, and in this instance, she does not fail. The good thing about the primes is you may swap out the heads if you are not happy with them, or if you already made some more along the way. Mix, match, make it your own. I ended up sticking to her prime default, as it stands out in a crowd..
Gate Crashv14.8 is also what I wished to touch upon among this coverage, as I used it partly as I leveled up Nyx Prime for this review(other then my typical defense grind tactic). Its mostly entry level, where young players can dive right in, then over time can use the mission to advance in levels. While at first the goal did not become clear to me , due to the cluster of conversations of cars, and other random things over the microphones that other players assumed was important over the objective. We basically went after Grineer caches after we got exposed a bit. Getting exposed is an effect when you are inside of a void portal. This occurs when you have to take down a few bosses to require Vak’s Key. This game mode is generally a lot like past events, or even current missions you have already done, The exception is it provides a sense of more involvement of the player. It poses both challenging, and pretty fun to partake in as a whole. One thing to note is its pretty much some parts of the already known Tower you visited if you are a veteran of the game. Via tower sabotage, and exterminate. Personally to me this is fine, and the fact you visit this part of the map periodically, to hop on to deal justice is alright. Then you move on to the next node, Phobos. This is basically for folks in the range of levels of fifteen, and twenty five. It shows some of the aspects of the region, with personally some of my favorite locations in the game. It has more of a challenge to it, sporting some more maze like paths you must run through. For new players you will be completely freaking lost. Same old thing, get the key, reach the exit, and you are done. Not much team work is really required for this event, other then the optional revive. Still a nice change of pace, if you are a little tired of the defense mission.
To wrap up this article, I will like to thank the staff over at Digital Extremes, for allowing us to take a look at Nyx Prime. We highly recommend this Tenno for sure, buy her, or earn her, you will not be disappointed.
