Word crept out of GamesCom in Germany this morning that Bungie was showing off Halo Reach running in glorious 3D. It turns out that’s pretty far from the truth.
VG247 originally reported on Bungie’s final Halo project being playable in 3D at GamesCom. Eurogamer quickly followed up with the developer, however, only to discover that neither Bungie nor Microsoft Games Studios were involved with the display.
“It’s actually got nothing to do with us,” Bungie’s Brian Jarrard assured Eurogamer. “It’s a Toshiba TV demo in the booth. It’s actually for their TV hardware. It’s got nothing to do with Xbox or the game itself.”
