Motorola continues to capitalize on the power of Google Play as a distribution channel for apps with the recent addition of the Motorola Contextual Services app. The app itself is not something users will interact with or use directly as it runs in the background providing support and functionality to other Motorola features like drive, meeting and sleep detection. Those features in turn help with the user experience for applications like Motorola Assist or their Touchless Control.
Motorola Contextual Services joins the Motorola Camera app, Touchless Control, Motorola Connect, and Motorola Assist in Google Play so users don’t have to wait for an OTA update from Motorola or their carrier. All of the apps are only available for the Moto X and Motorola’s most recent versions of their DROID devices, the DROID MAXX, the DROID ULTRA and the DROID MINI, although future Motorola devices will likely benefit from this new method of distributing components.
If you have one of the devices mentioned above, hit the source link to access the app in Google Play.
