Huawei seems like it has always been under the eye of scrutiny after several accusations of cyberspying in the US, and it looks like they’ll finally exit the US smartphone market because of those claims. Huawei believes if they get caught in the middle of relations between the US and China, it could spell serious trouble for the company, and they’re looking to completely avoid that risk altogether.

Many companies have already stopped using Huawei for network equipment, but they still have a presence in the low-end smartphone market in the US. There’s no word on if they’ll pull out 100% with their phones, but the network equipment installation and maintenance will cease.
